Our Story

How ShareAid Foundation began

ShareAid Foundation, officially ShareAid Humanitarian Empowerment and Relief Foundation, was founded in 2026 by Temitope Olanrewaju, a registered nurse, public health professional and clinical research specialist based in the United Kingdom with deep roots in Nigeria.

The foundation grew out of years of witnessing, firsthand, the devastating gap between the healthcare and social support that vulnerable Nigerians need and what is available to them. Women facing preventable conditions. Children without access to education. Young adults without pathways to dignity and self-reliance.

ShareAid was built to close that gap. Not with quick fixes, but with sustainable, community-rooted programmes that address real needs and build lasting resilience.

Our Mission

To enhance the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations through sustainable access to healthcare, education, clean water and livelihood opportunities.

Our Approach

We work alongside communities, not above them. Every programme is designed with local context in mind, delivered through trusted partnerships and measured against real outcomes. We are transparent about being a young organisation. We do not inflate our impact. We build credibility through honesty, consistency and results.

Our Founder

"ShareAid was born out of my deep concern and personal experiences witnessing the health and socio-economic challenges faced by women, vulnerable children, and young adults across underserved communities in Nigeria."

Temitope is a registered nurse and public health professional based in the United Kingdom, with strong ties to Nigeria. Through years of working within health systems and communities, she witnessed firsthand the gap between what people need and what is available to them. That reality drove her to found ShareAid.

Her background in clinical care and public health shapes how the Foundation approaches every programme, with rigour, compassion and a deep respect for the communities we serve.
